Eligibility: Pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics
The Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) is a foundational program designed to introduce students to the core principles of pharmaceutical science and healthcare practices. This two-year course serves as an entry-level qualification for individuals aspiring to build a career in the pharmacy sector. It equips students with the essential knowledge and skills required to work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists in hospitals, retail pharmacies, and pharmaceutical industries.
The curriculum is regulated by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and is divided into two academic years. Subjects covered include Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and Health Education. The program also includes practical sessions, hospital training, and community pharmacy exposure to ensure students gain hands-on experience. A strong emphasis is placed on dispensing medicines, drug formulations, dosage calculations, and understanding drug actions and interactions.
